Dr Nigina Abaszadе, the UNFPA Resident Representative in Uzbekistan and Country Director for Tajikistan, participated in a high-level Health Summit organised by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan on 20 February in Dushanbe. The summit brought together representatives from various organisations, including the Tajikistan President's Office, Parliament, key Ministry of Health and Social Protection structures, the United Nations, donors, and international and civil society organisations working in the health sector. The purpose of the summit was to review the progress, challenges and perspectives towards implementing the National Strategy on Healthcare for Tajikistan for 2021-2030.

The participation of UNFPA in this event underscores its commitment to supporting Tajikistan in achieving universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights for all at all levels, thereby improving the population's well-being.
