DUSHANBE, TODAY, December 1, youth of the capital of Tajikistan celebrated the World AIDS Day under the slogan "Youth against of AIDS".
The main purpose of the event was to identify, support and stimulate active youth of Tajikistan to discuss the HIV problems, dissemination information about the causes and consequences of the spread of HIV infection, the formation of students’ conscious attitude to their health by attracting the maximum number of people to participate in the action.
More than 100 young people were involved in the action during which a number of small events were held in the form of showing video clips on the specified theme. Along with this youth debates and discussions as well as thematic scenes and poetry performed by volunteers were held during the event. To visualize the event participants received pins and red ribbons that are symbolizing the fight against AIDS as well as T-shirts and handouts. In addition, active volunteers and partners of the action were awarded by appreciation certificates.
Active and creative young people gathered for the event who also performed music aimed at preventing AIDS and drug use to improve the nation and calling for upholding positions for a healthy nation.
After conducting the entire creative and cultural part there was held a quiz for participants to improve the information in the memory of that young people learned during the event. At the end of the event young people commemorated the AIDS victims by candles.
The action was organized by the National Federation of the UNESCO Clubs of Tajikistan with the financial support of UNFPA Tajikistan and UNAIDS Tajikistan in partnership with PO “Peshraft”, PO “Equal Opportunities”, PO “Tajik Family Planning Association”, PO “Y-Peer” and Vegafarm LLC.
