Under this component, advocacy activities are carried out to strengthen gender equality policies and strategies. UNFPA Tajikistan supports cross-sectoral collaboration on prevention of gender-based violence. The component also aims to strengthen the health sector response to gender-based violence. Active work is underway to involve men and opinion leaders as partners of the program. Today, UNFPA calls on everyone to join forces in the fight against violence against women and girls by strengthening their capacity to exercise their rights, especially reproductive rights, including the right to a life free from discrimination and violence.
